Ronaldo becomes the first player to score in four different Euro tournaments

Cristiano Ronaldo has chalked up another record. Eight goals under his belt and the first player ever to score in four different Euro tournaments, namely the ones held in: Portugal 2004, Austria and Switzerland 2008, Poland and Ukrania 2012 and France 2016. 

As well as this, after his appearance for the Portuguese side against Hungary, he has become the player with most caps in the different stages of this competition. He has now been capped a total of seventeen times and edges past European football legends such as the Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar and the now retired French defender Lilian Thuram.
