Jesús Vallejo, capitán de la Selección española sub19

Jesús Vallejo, one of the most promising young players in Spanish football, has been snapped up by Real Madrid, according to Onda Cero radio station’s ‘Al Primer Toque’ programme. Vallejo, captain of the Spanish U-19 team that were recently crowned champions of Europe, will stay on loan at Real Zaragoza for the 2015-16 season.

Vallejo is considered to be one of the most promising centre-backs not just in Spain but also in Europe. In the last few hours Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Villarreal have all tried to sign him, and his buy-out clause of €6 million made him an attractive option for the big clubs. In fact, Udinese had already made an offer for him. During the recent European U19 Championship, Vallejo’s performances did not go unnoticed and his contribution was vital to the conquest of the title. He is tipped to become one of the centre-backs who will lead the full Spanish national team in the near future.
