Estoy muy feliz en el Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken to the press for the first time since it was published that he was not happy at Real Madrid and that he had even asked to be allowed to leave if Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas end up not staying. The Portuguese star told A Bola that he was “deeply disappointed” with the the number of “false news stories” that have been published about him and says that he is “very happy” at the Blanco club.

He is currently in Miami, enjoying the last days of his holidays and from there he wanted to clarify the situation: “I’ve not spoken to anyone from the press for a while now; I’m making an exception now for A Bola, just to reassert that the news stories [that have been published] are absolutely false and have the intention of stirring up trouble between Real Madrid and me. I’m very happy at the club and am very focused, and I am confident that the new season will bring a lot of success. Once again, I am saying that I’m at the best club in the world and it is here, at the best club in the world, where I want to get back to winning things again.”

He repeated that he was happy over and again and said that if he has spoken up now it is to “put a stop to so many untrue stories” and so that the press will leave him “alone.” These declarations are the “first and the last” that he will make because from now on “I will not speak again while I am on holiday”, he told A Bola.
