BBC outgun MSN in La Liga

Despite the excellent form FC Barcelona‘s attacking trident, made up of Messi, Suárez and Neymar, are enjoying at the moment, they are still to better Real Madrid‘s strike trio in some competitions. Bale, Benzema and Cristiano‘s tally in the Liga BBVA is higher: while the MSN currently tally 39 goals, the BBC are on 40, though the Blaugranas have a game in hand. Karim Benzema’s good run this season, with a total of 14, and Gareth Bale’s sharpshooting, which has brought him 12 strikes, in recent matches, have made the Madrid forward line the most effective in domestic competition. Cristiano Ronaldo is not having his best season, but even still, his figures are good, and he is up among the top scorers in the league with 14 goals himself.

If we add in goals scored in all other competitions, the MSN then tally 62 goals to the BBC’s 55. Leo Messi’s injury, which kept him out for two months, should also be considered, and it is reasonable to assume he would have bagged a few in the time he was absent. Luis Suárez and Neymar are the top two scorers in the competition, with 15 each, while Messi is on 9, but from just 13 games played.
